What happened in Kill?
The film starts by introducing Lakshya’s character, Amrit Rathod, and Abhishek Chauhan’s character, Viresh, who are returning from a mission across the border. As they head back to their base, Viresh informs Amrit that Tulika, his girlfriend, has been trying to contact him. She is getting engaged to someone of her parents’ choice and wants to meet Amrit.
Soon after hearing the news, the duo heads to the engagement party, planning to whisk away Tanya Maniktala’s character, Tulika Singh. However, she refuses to come along, as the party is filled with people carrying ammunition. She suggests he try to pursue her parents upon reaching Delhi.
Amrit, Viresh, Tulika, and her family board the New Delhi-bound train unaware of what is about to transpire. The couple steals a moment to be together when Amrit proposes to Tulika, asking for her hand in marriage, and she says yes. While this romance is budding, a more ominous plan is transpiring in the background.
A band of 40 dacoits, led by Fani, boards the train to steal valuables from every passenger. Unlike the usual portrayal of dacoits, these thieves are equipped with technology that disables the network, preventing anyone from contacting the police.
As the dacoits start their looting and brutally attack those who resist, the two commandos spring into action without using any weapons. Amrit, soon after, makes his way to Tulika’s compartment to save her and her family from the dacoits. He initially saves them and leaves to find Tulika’s sister, who got separated from the family.
But the situation escalates when Fani reaches the compartment where Tulika and her father are holding his friend as a hostage for protection.
Did Lakshya & Tanya Maniktala’s characters unite?
The plot takes a major turn when Fani unties the dacoit and starts threatening Tulika and her father. Tulika tries to defend herself with a knife, injuring Fani. She runs toward the compartment where Amrit is fighting the dacoits, but Fani catches up to her.
In a harrowing sequence, Fani stabs Tulika in the stomach, back, and neck before throwing her in front of a moving train as Amrit watches in horror. After all, he was not able to do anything as he was busy fighting other dacoits.
This moment unleashes the spree-killing beast inside Amrit. From smashing heads with a fire extinguisher and hanging mangled bodies in an entire compartment to setting Fani’s father’s head on fire and ripping dacoits apart, Kill showcases never-before-seen gory action sequences. Finally, Amrit kills Fani by turning his head into a pulp with his bare hands, delivering a satisfying ending to the viewers.
The movie ends with the train finally reaching its destination, with commandos, police officers, and medical assistants rushing to aid. Amrit deboards the train after killing 40 dacoits. In the Kill movie’s closing scene, Amrit sits on a bench at the railway station. In a poignant and haunting moment, Tulika appears and sits beside him. However, it becomes clear that she is not alive but a figment of Amrit’s imagination.
