Popular K-pop reality show I-Land 2 will hold its grand finale on July 4. The debut lineup will be selected based on global and domestic votes. This article provides a detailed explanation of how to vote for Mnet’s I-Land 2, which will decide the winners’ team.
Mnet’s I-Land 2 finale will feature ten participants – Jeemin, Jungeun, Jiyoon, Fuko, Koko, Gyuri, Sarang, Saebi, Mai and Yuju. Only six of these ten finalists will be selected for the debut group’s lineup. As per Mnet, the network and YG’s subsidiary company, The Black Label, will form the new group.
How to vote for I-Land 2 final lineup?
I-Land 2 viewers can vote for their favorite contestant by signing into the Mnet Plus App. Once a user logs in, they can click on the I-Land Zone and the “final save vote” option to cast their votes.
Mnet generally opens the voting window during the finale’s live stream so fans can have last chances to decide the winners based on the penultimate mission’s performances. The live voting ends as soon as the performances end, so viewers must watch the live stream to get one last chance to ensure more votes for their favorite contestants.
How many contestants will join I-Land 2 debut team?
Mnet’s I-Land 2 debut team will have six participants. In exceptional circumstances, the network can select more rookies based on the scores and votes. However, so far, they have revealed the lineup will be only six participants.
After the end of the semi-final, Jeemin snagged the top place. The second place surprised many as Jungeun’s name was announced. For the universe, Jungeun was a fan-favorite contestant in the show’s first half. But she slipped below number 6 in part 2.
So Jungeun’s arrival at the top gives fans hope that she will be able to debut. Followed by Jungeun, Yoon Jiyoon ranked third at the end of episode 10. I-Land 2 producers chose the rest of the candidates for the finale.
The current ranks of the top 6 I-Land 2 contestants are:
- Jeemin
- Jungeun
- Jiyoon
- Fuko
- Koko
- Gyuri
One of the fan-favorite participants, Saebi, has slipped beneath the top 6 ranks. So, the finale will allow her one last chance to secure a place in the debut lineup. Another fan-favorite rookie, Yuju, ranked 10th and barely saved herself from the previous elimination.
Mnet’s I-Land 2 episode 11 final will air on July 4 at 9.30 p.m. KST and 8.30 a.m. ET. Fans can watch the show live on Mnet K-pop YouTube. The finale will be ninety minutes long. During the broadcast, Mnet will unveil the new name of the debut group.
