Mnet’s popular I-Land 2, episode 11, will mark the show’s grand finale. The ten contestants will compete one last time in the penultimate showdown to secure their places in the debut lineup. Before the final instalment, the network shared a short preview revealing the release date, time, and live-streaming details of the I-Land 2 finale.
The survival reality show began with 24 contestants. The list comprised of participants from Korea, Japan, Thailand, and other Asian countries, who took part in challenging missions to make it to the debut lineup.
Twelve rookies left the show in part 1. In part 2, two participants, Sujung and Suwon, were eliminated in the semi-final. Producers picked seven other rookies to compete in the finale. The top three contestants were chosen from the audience votes: Bang Jeemin, Jungeun, and Yoon Jiyoon.
When will Mnet I-Land 2 episode 11 be released?
I-Land 2 episode 11 (finale) will air on July 4 at 9:30 p.m. KST, 8:30 a.m. ET, 5:30 a.m. PT, 1:30 p.m. BST, and 6 p.m. IST. The show will be live-streamed globally on Mnet’s K-pop YouTube channel.
While watching the live mission, fans can cast their final votes for their favorite contestants. Once the mission is complete, the voting lines will close. After counting the global and domestic votes, Mnet will announce the winners who will make it to the new group’s debut lineup.
Mnet I-Land 2 finale: What to expect in the preview test?
The I-Land 2 grand finale will feature two songs produced by YG’s famous musician, Teddy, who has helped create many hit songs for the K-pop act, Blackpink. The setlist of episode 11 includes “Drip” and “Fake It.” Along with Teddy, Korean artist VVN has also participated in producing the two tracks.
Currently, the finalist lineup of I-Land 2 includes Jeemin, Jungeun, Jiyoon, Fuko, Koko, Gyuri, Sarang, Saebi, Mai and Yuju. Mnet did not reveal which team will perform which song. However, rumors indicate that Jeemin and Jiyoon could be on the same team as the center and main vocalist, while Jungeun and Saebi will be a part of the other group.
Meanwhile, Mnet shows also include bonus content for fans in the grand finale, where all participants come together to perform a song together. If the channel follows the same format, fans might catch all 24 contestants performing “Final Love Song” on episode 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
