In a YouTube livestream, social media personality Marcella Speaks revealed the statement that was provided to her by Jabbar’s family.
“It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke,” the statement reads. “She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love and laughter.”
“She will be sorely missed and at this time, we are asking for respect and privacy in our moment of grief while we process this great loss. The Jabbar Family and the Scott Family,” the statement concluded.
Jabbar’s family didn’t reveal the cause of death. After the reality TV star passed away, her cousin, LaTisha Scott also put up a post on Instagram requesting privacy. The caption reads, “At this time we are asking for RESPECT, and PRIVACY in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss! This is hard for our Family!!!!!”
Jabbar and Scott starred together in Love & Marriage: Huntsville. According to Deadline, the relationship between the two wasn’t healthy and they often indulged in fights on camera.
