While Soo-Min loves her boyfriend, she is unaware of the upcoming danger.
On the other hand, Jeffrey has a meeting with a group of influential political leaders and claims that he needs a president who can be useful. Simultaneously, Hyung-Min explains Jeffrey’s ill deeds and his vision to protect the society to Assemblyman Sang-Ho. For context, Sang-Ho later becomes the president. After listening to Hyung-Min, he promises to help the reporter. Moreover, Sang-Ho is close to Soo-Min, who considers him a father figure in her life. But they don’t know that Jeffrey has been aware of Hyung-Min’s intentions.
Song Seung-Heo and Oh Yeon-Seo’s enemy is the same person
Amid all this, Ha-Ri plans to avenge Ah-Ryung’s death. In the political world, Jeffrey meets Sang-Ho, and the former throws a solid deal at him. After much reluctance, Sang-Ho finally concedes to Jeffrey’s terms and burns Hyung-Min’s articles on the drug lord. The next day, Ha-Ri plans to kill Jeffrey at an event where he overhears Hyung-Min’s trust in Ha-Ri. After the event, the swindlers’ leader gets ready to shoot the drug lord while Hyung-Min leaves for his date with Soo-Min.
On his way to Soo-Min, Hyung-Min is brutally attacked, leading to his death. Meanwhile, Ha-Ri is about to shoot Jeffrey, but his team member stops him at the final moment. While Ha-Ri’s friend saves him from taking a dangerous path, Soo-Min’s world comes crashing down. Sang-Ho confronts Jeffrey for killing Hyung-Min but receives no satisfactory answer. The villain then reminds the new president that the latter promised to concede.
The flashback ends at this point, and Sang-Ho is seen in public with Soo-Min, accusing him of knowing about Hyung-Min’s murder. While she thinks Sang-Ho has betrayed her, the president reveals that he joined forces with Jeffery to fight within the system.
