In an interview with ANI, lead actor Rajkummar Rao discussed his character, Mahendra. He said, “My character’s name is Mahendra. He is a failed cricketer who had a lot of passion for the game and dreamed of playing for the country. Due to peer and family pressure, he couldn’t pursue his dreams. After getting married, he and Mahima, his wife, embark on a journey to fulfill those dreams together.”
