For the unversed, the torch relay run is a tradition that pays tribute to the game’s history. This year, the torch relay started on April 16, 2024, during a ceremony in the sanctuary of Olympia, Greece, where the ancient Olympics were once held.
The Olympic torch then traveled to Athens and crossed the Mediterranean Sea to reach Marseille. On May 8, 2024, the Olympic flame started its long journey across France, including Lascaux caves, the Alésia archaeological site, the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Palace of Versailles, and various other sites.

While there are no confirmed reports on Jin‘s participation date, reports suggest that he is expected to join the torch relay run on July 27 KST (July 26 CET). So, as per the rumors, the BTS member could participate in the opening ceremony on July 26 CET, the last day of the torch relay run.
On the last day, the torch will travel from Seine-Saint-Denis to Paris. Fans can see the routes of the torchbearers on the official Olympics map here. The torch will pass through about 400 mainland and major cities before coming to Paris on July 26. By the time it reaches Paris, the relay run will have completed a journey of about 12,000 km. Reports have confirmed that BTS Jin will travel to France soon to join the Paris torch relay run.
Following his return from the military, Jin has been reported to be participating in a new variety show. The K-pop star will be a guest on the MBC show The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island. MBC confirmed the news by stating, “BTS’s Jin already finished filming, and the broadcast schedule has not yet been decided.”
The singer will also release new songs in the latter half of the year. Jin addressed the song release rumors on Weverse and told fans he would share more details about his upcoming music after bandmate Jimin’s promotional period ended.
