SM Entertainment’s award-winning K-pop girl group Aespa will release their Japanese debut single, “Hot Mess.“ The music label has shared the release and time of Aespa’s new song with stunning concept images.
Aespa previously made their global comeback on May 27 with the studio album Armageddon. The ten-track album sold over a million copies in South Korea within a week of its release, ranking number 2 on the Circle Album Chart and number 4 on Japan’s Oricon chart.
After the grand success of Armageddon, Aespa is looking to win over Japanese fans’ hearts with its new single, “Hot Mess.” After the album’s release, Aespa will hold over six concerts in the country, where they will perform the debut song.

“Black Mamba” crooner Aespa’s new Japanese song, “Hot Mess,” will be released on July 3 at 12 a.m. KST in South Korea and 12 a.m. JST in Japan. In other timezones, it will be released on July 2 at 11 a.m. ET and 8 a.m. PT in the U.S., 4 p.m. BST in the UK, and 8.30 p.m. IST in India.
Before the official release, fans can pre-save the single on Spotify, Apple Music, Weverse, and other online streaming platforms. The single will also be unveiled simultaneously worldwide at international music platforms and Japanese sites like Rakuten.
After Aespa’s Japanese debut, the K-pop act will perform the song live at multiple concerts in the country. Dates and cities of Aespa’s Japanese concert tour 2024 include:
