I-Land 2 episode 10 (semifinal): Who are the 10 finalists?
The list of finalists for the I-Land 2 grand finale is out, and it features some of the fan-favorite contestants. Three participants reached the finale based on I-Mates votes, and Mnet producers chose the other seven rookies. The ten finalists who made it to the I-Land 2 episode 11 grand finale are:
- Bang Jeemin (3,234,171 points)
- Jungeun (2,647,246 points)
- Yoon Jiyoon (2,635,024 points)
The following are the producers’ picks for the finale:
- Hayashi Fuko
- Koko
- Kim Gyuri
- Ryu Sarang
- Jeong Saebi
- Tomioka Mai
- Nam Yuju
Before the finale, the two teams participated in one last mission, where they had to choose a song, theme, and choreography independently. Koko and Jeemin were the leaders of the two teams. Koko chose Jiyoon, Sujung, Jungeun, Juwon, and Yuju for her team. Meanwhile, Jeemin chose Fuko, Saebi, Sarang, Gyuri, and Mai as her teammates.
Both the leaders and centers, Jeemin and Koko, had to select their songs. Out of nine songs, Koko chose (G)I-DLe’s debut song, “Latata.” Jeemin had chosen the same song initially but had to opt for another, as Koko had already picked it for her team. Ultimately, the K-pop rookie selected SNSD’s “Into The New World” as her team’s semi-final song.
The “Latata” team chose a purple flower theme to execute their “blooming” through the concept. Koko showed her charisma on stage, and Jungeun proved why she was worthy of being a finalist through her vocal prowess.
The “Into The New World” team chose a fairyland concept where all six participants got their limelight in the intro. The judges were not confident that the team could pull off the performances in a harmonious way with so many different line distributions. Nevertheless, Jeemin’s team proved them wrong by executing the dreamy concept gracefully.
Jeemin stood out as a center, and the judges congratulated Mai on her growth. Sarang’s moves and Saebi’s dance charmed the audience, and the live viewers cheered loudly for both.
I-Land 2 finale: What to expect?
Mnet’s I-Land 2 finale (episode 11) will air on July 4 at 9.30 p.m. KST, 8.30 am ET, 5.30 a.m. PT and 6 p.m. IST. All ten finalists will perform in the last mission to secure their spots in the debut team. Among the contenders, only six people will be eligible to debut as the final rookie group.

Mnet also opens the live vote for global fans while the finale airs. Fans can support the I-Land 2 finalists while they perform one last time on the reality show through the Mnet Plus official website.
If Mnet follows the previous format of survival shows, fans can also expect to see some bonus performances from the I-Landers on the day of the grand finale. The bonus performance will air from the pre-filmed folder, but the results will be unveiled live after the global voting.
