Is the Dandadan manga finished?
As of June 2024, the Dandadan manga is currently ongoing.
Dandadan is a shonen manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu. Shueisha began serializing the manga in April 2021 under their Shonen Jump+ app and website. On the other hand, Viz Media handles the English and North American publishing of the series.
As of writing, there are 14 volumes available in Japanese. Volume 15 will be out in July 2024. Meanwhile, there are seven volumes available in English. Volumes 8 and 9 are currently available to pre-order on the official website of Viz Media.
The anime adaptation was announced in November 2023. The series will be coming out in October 2024. However, the first three episodes will be having theatrical releases ahead of the anime in August and September.
Science SARU is producing the anime. Fuga Yamashiro (Inu-Oh, Devilman Crybaby, Ride Your Wave) is directing the series. Meanwhile, Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Banana Fish, Vinland Saga) is doing the series composition and scripts. Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man, Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, A Silent Voice) is composing the music. Naoyuki Onda (Ergo Proxy, MF Ghost, Psycho-Pass) is doing character designs and Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100, Death Parade, Kill la Kill) is handling the alien and yokai designs.
Viz Media describes the series as:
“Momo Ayase and Okarun are on opposite sides of the paranormal spectrum regarding what they’ll believe in and what they won’t. Their quest to prove each other wrong leads them down a path of secret crushes and paranormal battles they’ll have to participate in to believe!”
