So what happened to Sameer? Why did Butcher and Joe Kessler kidnap him? Here are your answers.

What happened to Sameer in The Boys Season 4 Episode 5?

In The Boys Season 4 Episode 5, Sameer seemingly goes missing after a Supe-infested sheep starts rampaging the farm.

Victoria Neuman and the audience initially believe that he may have been killed as she could not find him. He is later revealed to be alive but kidnapped by Billy Butcher, who had cut off his leg to make it seem like he was killed by the sheep.

It is also revealed that Sameer Shah was once romantically involved with Victoria when she was 20 years old. He is also the father of her daughter, Zoey. Moreover, Stan Edgar, Victoria’s adoptive father and former Vought CEO claims that Shah was once his “top man” at Vought’s Research & Development department until he discovered Sameer and Victoria’s relationship and that it had all happened behind his back.

Why do Joe Kessler and Billy Butcher kidnap Sameer in The Boys Season 4?

Joe Kessler and Billy Butcher kidnapped Sameer as Butcher wants him to make a Supe-killing virus.

Butcher knows that Sameer once made a Supe-killing virus. This is because he was present during a meeting between him, The Boys, Stan, and Victoria with Sameer. This is where he revealed that he once made the virus. Given that Sameer made the virus once, Butcher knew he was capable of recreating it.

It remains to be seen how Sameer’s role will play out in the upcoming episodes. However, what’s clear is that he may play a pivotal role in Butcher’s plan to stop Homelander.
