The highly anticipated Indian movie Kalki 2898 AD has arrived in the theaters after years-long production. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie is a mythological sci-fi action based on the events of Mahabharat.

The animated web series B & B: Bhairava and Bujji is a part of The Kalki Cinematic Universe and introduced its two major characters. It gives a gist of the world the universe is based in. Moreover, it also reveals how Bhairava met Bujji and the events that led to their unbreakable bond. In an interview with Animation Xpress, Nag Ashwin revealed the reason behind making the animated series. He revealed how he wanted the audience to know the hero of the movie better. The Director believes that the audience’s excitement for Bhairava’s entry in Kalki 2898 AD would escalate after watching the web series.
Nag Ashwin said, “I feel the series and the film are different, though they share the same world. I feel the entry of Bhairava or Bujji will be amplified much more in the film for the people who have watched the animation.”
The director also hinted how B&B: Bhairava and Bujji is a spin-off of Kalki 2898 AD. He said, “The potential for endless adventures with Bujji and Bhairava is exciting. There are many other characters and plot points in the film that could also have their own spin-offs.”
What happens in B & B: Bujji and Bhairava episodes 1 & 2?
B & B: Bhairava and Bujji Episode 1 begins with the introduction of Bujji, an AI assistant. It is soon revealed that Bujji works in the complex where the makers stole all the resources from the earth. Further, Prabhas’ Bhairava is revealed as a bounty hunter who aims to collect one million units to enter the Complex. However, his life is filled with uncertainties as he lives in Kashi. His dream is also to own a certain sports bike with which he will receive several five-star bounties. But, his life leads him to a dumpyard where he meets Bujji.
Bhairava brings Bujji to his home as she suggests he make his own vehicle. The two sets out in the city to bring all the valuable waste home. As the entire vehicle is developed, Bujji tries to double-cross and head back to the Complex. However, Bhairava soon outsmarts and pulls her by taking the system into control. After a minor argument, the two agree that their aim is the same: to enter the Complex. They soon form a close bond and begin fighting their rivals for many units. Bhairava also accepts Bujji as his partner and not his servant.
The series has received a lot of love from the audience and has an IMDb rating of 8 out of 10. It aims to introduce the audience to the world of Kalki.
When will B & B: Bujji and Bhairava episodes 3 & 4 be released?
B & B: Bujji and Bhairava is an extended version of the Kalki Cinematic Universe. The first two episodes of the series narrated the incidents before the movie. As the web series is set to have episodes 3 and 4 as well, they will be allegedly released after June 27, 2024.
Moreover, Kalki 2898 AD is said to have a sequel as the makers revealed that the story will be continued. However, they did not officially reveal in which way the story will be extended further. B& B: Bhairava and Bujji are streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
