As of June 2024, there is no official English publisher yet for The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army Was a Human (Maou-gun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen Datta.)

Since the anime is part of the summer 2024 anime lineup, it’s possible that a publishing company will pick the series up for an English release. Fans will have to wait and see for now. Hopefully, the series will be well-received enough to get an English license.

The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army Was a Human is a dark fantasy light novel series by Ryousuke Hata. Kuma illustrates the art. Shosetsuka ni Naro initially published the series in February 2016. Futabasha later published the series from September 2016 to April 2018 in Monster Bunko. The light novels have a total of five volumes in Japanese.

The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army also has a manga adaptation with Anajiro illustrating. Futabasha began publishing the seinen manga on their Gaugau Monster website in July 2019. The series currently has 11 volumes in Japanese.

Studio A-Cat is producing the anime adaptation. Norihiko Nagahama (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills, Dark) is directing the series. Meanwhile, Touko Machida (High-Rise Invasion, Vampire Dormitory) is handling the series composition.
