Why isn’t Jimmy Kimmel hosting his late-night show this week?

Jimmy Kimmel will be taking a much-needed break and will not be hosting his late-night talk show this week. He has been taking extended breaks since the summer of 2020, and this year is no exception. Fellow talk show host Andy Cohen is also taking leave. Both of them are expected to resume their usual routines next week.

As reported by LateNighter, the Daily Show hosts Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Taylor Tomlinson, and Jon Stewart will be returning to the set this week.

The celebrity guest host line-up for Jimmy Kimmel Live this week

According to Deadline, this week’s episodes will be hosted by the Only Murders In The Building star Martin Short. The upcoming episode on June 27 will feature Melissa McCarthy and Nick Kroll, and The Warning will be the musical guest.

The show’s previous episodes this week featured Short’s Only Murders In The Building cast members, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez. Musical guests that have already appeared this week are Imagine Dragons and Jelly Roll, as well as Beck.

Deadline has reported that other celebrity guests who will fill the role of the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! this year will include Anthony Anderson, Kathryn Hahn, Kumail Nanjiani, Lamorne Morris, Jeff Goldblum, RuPaul, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman.
