Attack on Titan: Does Eren Die in Season 4?

Does Eren Yeager die in Attack on Titan Season 4? Some fans might be new to the series and are catching up with it now. So, curious fans might be wondering about the fate of the series’ main character and if the season leads to his death. Here is a guide on whether Eren dies in Attack on Titan.

Does Eren die in Attack on Titan?

Yes, Eren Yeager dies at the end of the Attack on Titan series.

Eren planned for this to happen. Since he had the power of the Founding Titan, Eren’s sense of time was different from everyone else. For him, everything existed at the same time and there was no past, present, or future.

Ultimately, Eren wanted to save his friends. He wanted the world to view them as saviors of humanity, so he painted himself as the villain. That’s why at the end, Eren and Armin were having a conversation where Eren was explaining everything to Armin. But Eren suppressed it from Armin’s memories. Armin and the others would only remember what Eren really did once he was dead since the Titans’ powers would be gone.

After Eren Yeager’s death, his friends finally remember the reasons behind Eren’s actions. Some of his actions were for the sake of protecting his friends.

Why did Mikasa kill Eren?

After all that happens because of Eren and the rumbling, Mikasa has to kill Eren. This is so the chaos and carnage can finally stop. In Eren and Armin’s conversation, Eren also explained that Mikasa was the one who was going to set Ymir Fritz free from her pain. Even Eren wasn’t sure why Ymir chose Mikasa. But he was certain that his plans were for the sake of the outcome of Mikasa freeing Ymir.

After Mikasa beheaded Eren, Armin claimed to be the one who killed Eren. Meanwhile, Mikasa went back to Paradis to give Eren a proper burial.
