Attack on Titan: How Tall Are the Walls?

Many fans are curious how tall the walls are in Attack on Titan. Paradis Island is heavily protected from the Titans thanks to the walls surrounding the area. However, that eventually changed. For curious fans, here is a guide on the height of the walls in Attack on Titan.

This guide will contain some spoilers about the series.

How tall are the walls in Attack on Titan?

In Attack on Titan, the walls’ height is around 50 meters or 164 feet tall. This was mentioned in the first chapter of the manga.

The walls are on Paradis Island and they serve as the island’s protection against the Titans. Karl Fritz, former King of Eldia, built these walls a hundred years ago using Colossus Titans. The walls saved Paradis from harm since others believed the claim that the king would release the Titans inside the walls if they attacked.

The walls are named after King Fritz’s daughters: Maria, Rose, and Sina (or Sheena). Maria is the outermost wall, Rose is in the middle, and Sina is the innermost. Eren, Armin, and Mikasa’s hometown, the Shiganshina District, is in Wall Maria. Meanwhile, here are the other towns in the other walls:

  • Wall Rose: Utopia District, Karanes District, Trost District, Krolva District
  • Wall Sina: Orvud District, Stohess District, Ehrmich District, Yarckel District, Mitras, Underground

Only a handful of people knew about the numerous Colossus Titans inside the walls. The Survey Corps only found out about this after the Female Titan damaged Wall Sina, revealing a Titan’s face in the walls.

Eventually, the walls would come down after a hundred years. This was when Eren used the Founding Titan’s power to release the numerous Colossus Titans hiding in the walls.
