Travis Scott was arrested at 4:35 AM EDT on Thursday, June 20, 2024, after he was charged with trespassing and disorderly intoxication.

As reported by NBC News, the rapper has been booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after being apprehended. The report by the Miami Beach Police, as per Variety, states that the rapper is expected to be released from the correctional center soon. Furthermore, the report conveys that the Miami Beach Police has received a $650 bond from Scott’s representatives.

Police officials provided a detailed account of the situation to CNN. They conveyed that Scott was on board a charter boat when he got into a verbal altercation with the crew. Scott was asked to leave the scene after police arrived but he resisted and came back a second time. After a third attempt to persuade Scott to leave the boat’s premises, he refused, resulting in his arrest.

As per the Daily Mail, the report also states that Travis Scott was “yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel,” and police got “a strong smell of alcohol” from him.

According to the BBC, the rapper was booked under his real name, Jacques Bermon Webster.

The rapper was reportedly enjoying a break before he resumed his Circus Maximus Tour and he is expected to be present in the Netherlands on June 28.

This incident follows the recent arrest of singer Justin Timberlake, who was apprehended for driving while intoxicated.
