Deadpool & Wolverine: Does Blade Appear? Will Wesley Snipes Return?

The rumors about Blade making an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine have taken the internet by storm as fans continue to speculate multiverse cameos. The upcoming movie is just a month away and Marvel Studios recently dropped a new still, adding to a new set of rumors related to Wesley Snipes‘ Blade. If you’re interested in knowing more about his expected appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, then stick around.

Was that Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine’s new image?

It appears that Blade is in the new Deadpool & Wolverine image that was shared recently. However, it can’t be said with certainty.

Recently, Marvel Studios released a new image of Deadpool & Wolverine featuring the titular characters surrounded by raiders in a wasteland. In this image, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a background character that appeared like a Blade variant. Given the movie is a multiverse adventure, many fans believe it to be a Blade cameo.

However, as the character’s face in the background of the image seems unclear, it cannot be officially confirmed whether Blade is appearing in the upcoming movie.

Does Wesley Snipes return as Blade in MCU’s Deadpool & Wolverine?

Wesley Snipes is unlikely to return as Blade in MCU’s Deadpool & Wolverine. The recent image seemingly teases Sticky Fingaz’s Blade’s cameo instead. Nevertheless, rumors remain unconfirmed.

The background character in the image does not look like Wesley Snipes, but fans think it could be Sticky Fingaz, who portrayed Blade in the 2006 series. The series is centered around Krista Starr, who upon learning about her brother’s murder comes face-to-face with a vampire hunter, Blade. Despite garnering substantial viewership, the show never returned for another season and concluded with 12 episodes.

Earlier in 2022, Snipes presented his take on coming back to the MCU in an interview with ComicBook.com. He was open to reprising the iconic role, however, he confirmed that Marvel Studios hadn’t reached out to him.

He said, “Never say never. Long as I’m healthy and in shape, I can rock with them. Yeah, as far as my predictions on if something like that happened in future, I don’t know. I don’t know. It seems to me if it would’ve happened, it would’ve happened already. But hey, never say never…No, [Marvel Studios has not approached me] as of yet.”
