Bad Boys 4 Ending Spoilers

In this film, both Mike and Marcus experience several moments of transition in their lives. The former finally gets married, and the latter has a heart attack but survives. Mike also has to reach out to his incarcerated son Armando (Jacob Scipio), the very man who killed Howard, to figure out whether their beloved captain was on the cartel’s payroll.

It is revealed that the former-military-man-turned-mercenary James McGrath (Eric Dane) is the one who set up Captain Howard. He also put Howard’s name on Isabel’s (Kate del Castillo) hit list and orchestrated the captain’s death at the hands of Armando. The cartel’s mole inside the Miami law enforcement is the mayoral prospect Lockwood (Ioan Gruffudd), who also happens to be the current romantic partner of Mike’s former girlfriend, AMMO Captain Rita Secada (Paola Núñez).

The climactic scene takes place at an abandoned amusement park. Rita kicks Lockwood into an alligator tank when he tries to shoot her, and he is subsequently eaten alive. Meanwhile, McGrath holds Marcus and Mike’s wife Christine (Melanie Liburd) at gunpoint, demanding that Mike choose between two of the closest people in his life. Mike shoots Marcus in his bulletproof vest. As the latter falls on the ground, Mike empties his gun into McGrath, hitting one bullet right on the forehead.

Elsewhere, Armando saves the life of Captain Howard’s granddaughter Callie (Quinn Hemphill) multiple times. So, when her mother, U.S. Marshal Judy Howard (Rhea Seehorn), confronts Armando, she steps between them. After Callie explains what has happened, Judy’s desire for revenge ebbs away. Mike then has one more heartfelt moment with his son before he lets him escape.

The film ends with Mike, Marcus, and their friends and families having a barbecue together at a park.
