Your Honor: Why Was It Canceled? Will There Be More Seasons on Netflix?

Fans of the legal crime-drama series Your Honor starring Bryan Cranston can rejoice as the show is now streaming on Netflix. However, Your Honor getting canceled after just two seasons has baffled many viewers. Here is everything viewers need to know about why Your Honor was not green-lit for more seasons.

Why was Bryan Cranston’s Your Honor canceled after Season 2?

Your Honor starring Bryan Cranston was planned as a limited series by Showtime. This is why it was canceled after the second season.

According to The Direct, Cranston had previously confirmed that Season 2 would be the last on a June 2023 podcast. He affirmed, “I am preparing for the second and last season of Your Honor, which is a limited series that I did for Showtime.”

Speaking to Deadline in an April 2023 interview months after the release of Season 2, the actor expressed that he is open for a third season. He also asserted that he would be “very interested in producing that.”

According to Rotten Tomatoes, Season 2 garnered an audience score of 64% in contrast to Season 1’s 69%. Coupled with a drop in ratings, this could have also led to Your Honor getting canceled.

Will Netflix launch more seasons of Your Honor?

No, Netflix won’t launch more seasons of Your Honor as it has ended.

The series was adapted from an Israeli show, Kvodo. It was originally planned to be a limited series. Hence, this makes it unlikely that there will be a third season.

The American remake of Your Honor follows the story of a New Orleans judge in his fight against the law. After his son gets involved in a hit-and-run case, the judge played by Cranston strives to cover his son’s crime. This paves the way to a tale of seemingly endless chaos.
