Does Yaddle Appear in Star Wars: The Acolyte?

Star Wars: The Acolyte takes place about 100 years before Darth Sidious became the Galactic Emperor, and the viewers want to know whether their favorite characters from that era appear in the series. Yaddle was a powerful Jedi Master belonging to the same species as Grand Master Yoda and Din Grogu (from The Mandalorian). According to the Star Wars Canon, she was born in 509 BBY, centuries before the events of The Acolyte. However, as her species has an incredibly long lifespan, she was alive when Qui-Gon Jinn introduced a young Anakin Skywalker to the Jedi Council in 32 BBY. Accordingly, viewers want to know if she appears in Star Wars: The Acolyte.

Here is what we have discovered on whether Yaddle appears in Star Wars: The Acolyte.

Does Yaddle appear in The Acolyte?

Although Yaddle is active as a Jedi Master during the Star Wars: The Acolyte timeline, or the High Republic era, she doesn’t appear as of episode 2. During this period, the Jedi Order was massive, diverse, and spread across the galaxy. So, it’s possible that Yaddle is busy with a different mission just as Sol starts investigating the death of a fellow Jedi master.

Yaddle was a highly respected and beloved Jedi Master. Her main task in the Order was to train the Jedi Initiates, though she was also an accomplished scholar and fighter. She became a member of the Jedi Council shortly before Anakin arrived at the temple. When Qui-Gon Jinn told the Council that the Sith had resurfaced, Yaddle was one of the few who thought he was right in his assessment.

After the end of the Battle of Naboo and Jinn’s death, Yaddle retired from the Council and became much less involved in the affairs of the Order. She was killed in the same year after a lightsaber duel with Count Dooku. Formerly a Jedi Master, Dooku embraced the dark side of the Force with this act, becoming Darth Tyranus, the new disciple of Darth Sidious.
