Venom 3: Is Chiwetel Ejiofor Returning as Baron Mordo in The Last Dance?

Fans have a lot of questions after spotting Chiwetel Ejiofor, who plays Baron Mordo in the MCU, in the trailer for Venom: The Last Dance. Does this mean Mordo will return in Venom 3, or will the sequel introduce a new adversary for Eddie Brock and Venom?

Here’s everything you need to know about Chiwetel Ejiofor’s role in Venom: The Last Dance.

Is Chiwetel Ejiofor playing Baron Mordo in Venom 3: The Last Dance?

It is unclear whether Chiwetel Ejiofor will be returning as Baron Mordo in Venom: The Last Dance, but it remains unlikely.

In the first trailer for Venom 3, fans can see Ejiofor in a camouflage uniform leading a team of soldiers. The name of this group of Ejiofor’s character is currently unknown and so there has been speculation about Mordo returning. However, it is unlikely that Mordo will appear in Venom 3 due to a lack of a connection between the characters.

However, fans can see Ejiofor’s unnamed character in the trailer capturing the part of the Venom symbiote that Brock left behind at the bar in the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Brock had traveled to Earth-616 when the spell cast by Doctor Strange to help Peter went wrong. So, this has added to the confusion surrounding who Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing in Venom 3. There is also speculation from fans about Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character being Orwell Taylor from the Marvel Comics.

Who is Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Orwell Taylor in Venom 3 and Marvel Comics?

In the comics, Orwell Taylor from Earth-616 used to be a general in the United States Army. After Venom killed his son, Hugh, he gathered a few of his son’s buddies and formed a group called the Jury. Orwell led this group to hunt down Venom and bring justice to him for killing his son.

In the trailer as well we do see them going after Venom, however, it does not reveal too much. While there is no confirmation yet about the group shown in the trailer being the Jury, it could be a possibility. If it turns out to be true, this could also possibly set up an appearance of Spider-Man in the film.
