The film premiered in the US theaters in 2007 and was massively successful. This led to the development of the sequel 300: Rise of an Empire, which came out in 2014. 300 Prequel Series’ release date could arrive by 2026 at the earliest.
In late 2024, various outlets reported that Warner Bros. Television was making a 300 TV series. Although the script is still being developed, Variety reported that their sources had informed them that the series would serve as a prequel to Zack Snyder’s film. The entertainment outlet further reported that Snyder was in negotiations to board the project as director and executive producer. Other producers involved in making the first film, including Deborah Snyder, might also return to the 300 universe with this project.
With no writers and showrunners yet officially attached to the conjectured prequel series, it might be a while before it comes out. If the project goes into production by next year, it can debut in 2026 at the earliest.
