As per CBS News, on May 25, Nicki Minaj was arrested and subsequently fined at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport after authorities allegedly found āsoft drugsā in her luggage. In a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter), The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee stated, āWe have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.ā The translation of the Dutch authoritiesā social media post also says, āAfter consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.ā
While authorities did not confirm who it was in their post, Minaj posted about the same incident on X, confirming that it was her. She later shared another post, wherein she wrote, āTheyāre being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that itās this successful & they canāt eat off me.
