Is There a The Strangers: Chapter 1 End Credits or Post-Credits Scene?

People flocking into the theaters are wondering if The Strangers: Chapter 1 has an end-credits scene. Do they need to sit through the credits for an additional mid-credits or post-credits sequence? Here’s everything you need to know about the film’s final moments.

Does The Strangers: Chapter 1 have an end, post, or mid-credits scene?

The Strangers: Chapter 1 sets up its upcoming sequel with one scene towards the end of the film. But, viewers sitting in the theaters don’t have to go through the entire credits reel unless they wish to look at all the names and enjoy the film’s score.

The one additional piece of footage that plays in The Strangers: Chapter 1 is a mid-credits scene. It arrives after the initial credits but before the final credits begin to play. It does exactly what most modern-day franchise movies do to plant the seeds for future installments using additional scenes in the middle of or after the final credits.

The tradition of mid-credits and post-credits scenes was popularized by MCU movies, followed by DC, and other franchises as well. Most of them use two end credits, one to set up the future, and the other to present a gag. But, The Stranges: Chapter 1 only leads us into Chapter 2 using its post-credits scene. There’s no gag for those wondering.

The official synopsis of the film reads:

“After their car breaks down in an eerie small town, a young couple (Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez) are forced to spend the night in a remote cabin. Panic ensues as they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive in THE STRANGERS ― CHAPTER 1, the chilling first entry of this upcoming horror feature film series.”

It stars Madelaine Petsch, Froy Gutierrez, Gabriel Basso, and Ema Horvath, among others. Courtney Solomon produced the film alongside Mark Canton, Gary Raskin, Christopher Milburn, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek.
