Chainsaw Man: Who Is Nayuta & Is She Like Makima?

Who is Nayuta in Chainsaw Man? Fans who have reached Part 2 of the manga would have already encountered this character. Here is a guide on Nayuta from Chainsaw Man.

Who is Nayuta in Chainsaw Man?

Nayuta is the Control Devil’s reincarnation.

After Denji defeated Makima, Nayuta incarnated in China. Kishibe found Nayuta and brought her to Denji so Denji could raise her like a family member. She is like a little sister to Denji.

Nayuta resembles a young girl with her hair tied into a braid and long bangs that cover one of her eyes. Her eyes are yellow with red rings around them, just like Makima’s.

Is Nayuta a Makima?

Makima is the previous incarnation of Nayuta. This means Nayuta has the same abilities and powers as Makima since they are the Control Devil. However, there’s a slight difference in Nayuta’s abilities and powers compared to Makima’s, with Nayuta’s being slightly weaker. Nayuta is capable of using three chains at a time. She also doesn’t possess the ability to be able to control everyone.

Kishibe wanted the reincarnation of the Control Devil to not end up like Makima, which is why he brought her to Denji instead of taking her to Public Safety.

Personality-wise, she is more similar to Denji than Makima. Her common trait with Makima is liking dogs. Otherwise, she acts like Denji most of the time since he raised her.

How does Nayuta exist if Denji ate Makima?

Denji ate Makima as a human, not as Chainsaw Man. He ate Makima while he was in his human form, so he successfully got rid of Makima. But this did not lead to getting rid of the Control Devil’s existence. Erasing the Control Devil’s existence would have been done using the Chainsaw Devil’s power.
