In April 2024, Protagonist Pictures and Scott officially announced the upcoming film. Dave Bishop, CEO of Protagonist Pictures, said in a statement, “Double Booked is a taut, edge of your seat revenge thriller full of twists and turns that ratchets up the tension scene by scene. Adam has assembled a truly stellar cast to bring his vision to life and his fresh take on a beloved genre will resonate with audiences around the world. It’s the perfect addition to our Cannes slate.”
David Levinson (Welcome Home) penned the script for Double Booked. Scott is producing the film with his wife Naomi Scott through their Great Scott Productions. Dichotomy Creative Group’s Adam Goodman and Matt Skiena will also serve as producers.
In collaboration with UTA Independent Film Group, Protagonist intends to introduce the film for international sales at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which will last from May 4, 2024, to May 25, 2024. If production begins this year, Adam Scott’s Double Booked can premiere in 2025 at the earliest.
