The Jurassic World 4 cast is now adding new members as the film nears its production window. But has Chris Pratt been replaced by Jonathan Bailey? Here’s everything you need to know.
Has Jonathan Bailey replaced Chris Pratt in Jurassic World 4?
Jonathan Bailey is reportedly in talks to join Jurassic World 4 in place of Chris Pratt.
As per Deadline, Bailey is currently in talks to be the protagonist in Gareth Edwards’ upcoming Jurassic World outing. The deal isn’t signed yet, but he could carry the franchise forward once things become official. Along with him, Scarlett Johansson is confirmed to be in talks as well.
But neither Chris Pratt nor any other cast members of the previous two Jurassic trilogies are confirmed to be back yet. We can expect Pratt’s Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing, and others to still exist in the franchise. They could be brought back in a later film. But for now, a new roster of characters is expected to show up.
Which character will Jonathan Bailey play in Jurassic World 4?
Jonathan Bailey’s casting is awaiting confirmation, but he is in contention to play the lead in Jurassic World 4.
He is known for high-profile shows including Bridgerton and Fellow Travelers. He will also be playing Fiyero in Universal’s upcoming Wicked. So, his relationship with the studio is already great. But, his potential character for Jurassic World hasn’t been revealed yet.
It is however confirmed that he’d be the lead alongside Scarlett Johansson if both the actors join the cast. David Koepp is penning down the script, while Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce the film through their Kennedy-Marshall banner. Steven Spielberg is also attached as an executive producer with his Amblin production company, with the film currently scheduled to release on July 2, 2025.
