It has been a few days since The Tearsmith premiered on Netflix. Since then, some if not many viewers have often wondered if The Tearsmith 2 will happen. The Tearsmith also known as “Fabbricante di lacrime” is an Italian romance film based on the 2022 best-selling novel of the same name by Erin Doom.

Is there a The Tearsmith 2 release date?
There is no The Tearsmith 2 release date as it is unlikely to happen.
The Tearsmith by Erin Doom, which the film is based on is a standalone story that has a definitive conclusion and there are also no sequel books written by the author. The Tearsmith movie also ends definitively and does not tease a future film. Thus, The Tearsmith 2 has either a very slim or no chance of happening.
Moreover, the makers of The Tearsmith have also not announced a sequel.
However, Erin Doom has written several other books such as The Way the Snow Falls, Stigma, and A Sweet Christmas. As such, if The Tearsmith faces a strong positive critical reception and interest in the coming weeks, Netflix might choose to adapt either of the three books instead of making a The Tearsmith sequel.

The Tearsmith 2 probably isn’t coming out because The Tearsmith ended on a definitive note without teasing a future film much like the book, which had a standalone story with a proper conclusion and did not tease any future sequel books.
