What Happened at the end of Invincible Season 2 Episode 6?
Invincible Season 2 Episode 6 ended with the Viltrumites planning to attack Earth, Rus Livingston getting possessed by Sequid hivemind, and Angstrom Levy returning to Earth.
The latest episode featured a brisk battle in the beginning. But it mostly saw Mark dealing with the aftermath of his space missions, and how they have affected the lives of the ones he loves. Towards the end, he comes across the fiction novels that his father wrote.
Meanwhile, his friend Allen the Alien arrives on Earth with a message for him. After a quick space fight with The Immortal, he revealed that his boss Thaedus (a Viltrumite who stands against Viltrum) invited Mark to join the war that will end Viltrum tyranny.
Mark didn’t agree to go with him just yet. But he helped him by showing the sci-fi books that Omni-Man wrote. They contained clues to hurt the Viltumites, which could help Thaedus’ cause.
At the Viltrumite penal colony, we see an imprisoned Omni-Man aka Nolan Grayson. General Kregg demanded answers as to why he went soft and what changed him on Earth. But he didn’t reply or fight back. Angered by that, Kregg left the cell saying that Earth would pay for what it did to Nolan.
Back on Earth, Rus Livingston was back to his apartment, which was occupied by Shapesmith while he was absent. While cleaning up, he gagged and puked a surviving Sequid. It leaped and took control of him, giving the Sequid hivemind a controlled host on Earth. Now, using him, the Sequids could continue their mission to conquer the planet in the upcoming episodes.
Lastly in the mid-credits scene, Angstrom Levy travels through alternate multiversal dimensions and arrives on Mark’s Earth. The episode ends with him declaring, “It’s good to be home.” So now, Earth faces a threat from Levy, Sequids, and Viltrumites all at once.
