Is there an X-Men ’97 Season 2 release date?
X-Men ’97 Season 2’s release date could arrive sometime in 2025.
By July 2022, Marvel Studios already confirmed the development of Season 2. In July 2023, while Season 1 was in post-production, Beau revealed that he and his team were writing the Season 2 finale. He said in March 2024 that they were planning a third season shortly before he and Marvel Studios “parted ways.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in March 2024, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s streaming, television, and animation lead, offered an outline of how things stood at the time. He also said that they were searching for someone to replace DeMayo.
“I’ve now seen versions of animatics for the entire second season,” Winderbaum said. “Obviously, when you’re in that stage, there’s a lot of work to do. It’s editorial, but it’s also still iterative because there’s still story to be worked out when you put it on its feet in that way. We’re going to start development on the third season very soon. And, yeah, we’re trying to figure out who is going to be that voice on the page, but luckily — that’s going to come as a surprise — there’s many talented X-Men fans, excellent writers.”
Considering all this, we can speculate that X-Men ’97 Season 2 can come out sometime in 2025.
This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
