Masters of The Air Part 9 acted as the series finale. The show is based on Donald L. Miller’s 2007 novel, “Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany.” Given that the source material reportedly wrapped up in the first season, and the show is also inspired by real-world events, there seems to be no more story left to tell for it.
Furthermore, its previous two World War II companion shows, The Pacific and Band of Brothers (also produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks), had self-contained stories that also lasted one season each. So, we shouldn’t expect Masters of the Air to have multiple seasons.
