Studio Pierrot’s Yatagarasu TV Anime New Trailer Features The Opening Theme

The upcoming anime series is based upon the second book of Chisato Abe’s Yatagarasu novel series titled “Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai.” The anime series is titled “The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master”. The anime’s release date is just around the corner, and it dropped a brand new trailer featuring the opening theme.

Makers announced crucial and anticipated news about Yatagarasu on March 5, 2024. The upcoming anime series will be released on Saturday, April 6th, 2024. It will air on NHK in Japan at 11:45 p.m. (JST). 

The highly acclaimed Studio Pierrot is producing the series. Studio Pierrot is famous for working on projects like Naruto, Black Clover, and Bleach. Yoshiaki Kyougoku is directing the series. Takumo Norita and Eisho Segawa will handle the character designs, while Yuji Tange will be the sound director.

The upcoming title recently released a brand-new trailer. It features the opening song, “Poi,” by Saucy Dog. 

The plot of this upcoming anime series revolves around a fantasy world called Yamauchi. In that world lives Yatagarasu, who can shapeshift between their human and crow forms. The story follows a young Yatagarasu named Yukia. He is appointed as the personal guard and attendant of the land’s eccentric crown prince, Wakamiya. However, the story takes a turn when he learns about the conspiracies that took down the heir to the throne. 

The anime’s official website revealed the main cast on March 5, 2024. The main cast features Eiji Takeuchi as Sumio, Hiroshi Shirokuma as Rokon, Kengo Kawanishi as Atsufusa, Yoshino Aoyama as Fujinami, Satoshi Hino as Natsuka, and Atsuko Tanaka as Ōmurasaki no Omae.

The series’ cast includes talented names such as Mutsumi Tamura, who will voice Yukio. Miyu Irino will appear as Wakamiya. Moreover, the rest of the cast consists of Hiroki Nanami as Hamayū, Rie Kugimiya as Shiratama, Rina Honnizumi as Asebi, and Ayaka Fukuhara as Masuho no Susuki.
