While Impractical Jokers continues with Season 10, viewers are wondering what happened to Joe Gatto. Why is the fourth Impractical Joker not in the series anymore? Here’s all you need to know about why Joe did not return along with the other three Jokers.
What happened to the fourth Impractical Joker?
After starring in Impractical Jokers for nine seasons, the fourth Joker Joe decided to part ways due to personal reasons.
Lifelong friends Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Sal Vulcano, and Joe Gatto started their hidden camera comedy reality series together. It became a beloved show as they continued to prank people and receive funny punishments across nine seasons.
But on New Year’s Eve in 2021, Joe announced that he would be leaving the show following his divorce from Bessy Gatto. While some were surprised about his decision, many weren’t.
Why did Joe Gatto leave the Impractical Jokers show?
Joe Gatto left Impractical Jokers before Season 10 “due to some issues in his personal life”, and to spend more time with his children.
Gatto posted the above on Instagram and wrote:
“Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”
He thanked his co-stars and all his fans across the world and stated that he’d try to create new ways to entertain everyone in the future. But whether he decides to return to Impractical Jokers in the next few seasons remains to be seen.
