Created by Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass, Room 104 is an anthology series that explores horror, thriller, and comedic themes. The series almost exclusively takes place in a single motel room, with each episode focusing on different characters/guests. It premiered on HBO on July 28, 2017, with season 4 debuting on July 24, 2020. If you are wondering whether there will be a Season 5, this is what we have discovered.
Here’s all we know about Room 104 Season 5 and whether or not it’s coming out.
Is there a Room 104 Season 5 release date?
There is no Room 104 Season 5 release date as the series came to an end after four seasons.
Room 104 concluded after the airing of season 4 episode 12, titled Generations, on October 9, 2020. The series finale stars Rebecca Hazlewood, Kaya Rose Davis, Susan Park, Kristina Hanna, Ntare Mwine, Saidah Ekulona Arrika, and Christopher Farrah. Speaking to Deadline in July 2020, series co-creator Mark Duplass reflected on his emotions at the time.
“A little bittersweet,” the writer-actor said. “This has been kind of this fun little side project that we started a few years ago, and oddly became just emotionally a centerpiece of what I like doing. I’m excited we got a chance to make 48 episodes. It’s kind of rare that in today’s turn and burn rate with TV shows that you get that many. So, I want to be appreciative and I want to be thankful, but I’m also feeling like a spoiled little shit who wants to do more. So, that’s where I’m at,” he added.
Why Room 104 Season 5 isn’t happening
Room 104 Season 5 isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, the anthology series concluded after the fourth season.
ComingSoon will provide an update if the circumstances change.
The official synopsis for Room 104 reads:
“An anthology series set in a single hotel room, where every guest who comes to stay reveals a unique set of circumstances and quirks.”
