Is Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider going to be in Deadpool 3?
Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider is not confirmed to be in Deadpool 3, as of writing.
However, rumors about Cage’s involvement as the Spirit of Vengeance in Deadpool 3 have been floating around the web for as long as August 2023. Especially, after two fairly semi-reliable industry insiders and scoopers MyTimeToShineHello and CanWeGetSomeToast cryptically reported on the matter and the latter used the following words “sooner than you think…”.
Despite this, fans should take these long-running rumors with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation from Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige on the matter.
Cage’s Ghost Rider has also been rumored to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars. Various rumors across the internet point to that film featuring numerous live-action Marvel characters, both from the MCU and outside of it.
Prior to this, rumors suggested that Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider would make an appearance in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This ultimately did not happen. However, Cage had expressed interest in appearing in the film before its release in a GQ interview.
Nicolas Cage played Ghost Rider in the 2007 film Ghost Rider and its 2012 sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Cage retired from the role after 2012 which led to the cancelation of a planned third film and the live-action rights to the character reverting to Marvel Studios.
