What happened to Magellan in One Piece?
Magellan first appears during the Impel Down Arc. At this time, he was the chief warden at Impel Down. After Luffy infiltrated the prison, he eventually found out about it. When Luffy and Bon Clay were near the kitchen, he showed up and prepared for battle.
Magellan’s Devil Fruit is the Doku Doku no Mi (Venom-Venom Fruit), a Paramecia-type fruit that makes him a Poison Human. He and Luffy fought, but the poison ended up being too much for Luffy. He defeats Luffy, who is completely covered in poison and knocked out.
After Ivankov saves Luffy, the prison breakout continues. More fighting and chaos happen in Impel Down. Luffy and Jinbei successfully escape, and so do hundreds of other prisoners. Following the incident, Magellan is demoted to vice warden.
What episode does Magellan get defeated in One Piece?
Magellan is “defeated” in One Piece episode 451. In this case, defeated means multiple prisoners escaped the prison, including Luffy. This is a hit on his pride especially since he’s proud of how he operates the prison. Having 241 prisoners escape is disgraceful for him. In the middle of the chaos, Magellan was near death as he was severely beaten.
How did Luffy survive Magellan’s poison?
Luffy was close to dying after getting poisoned multiple times. After Ivankov found him and Bon Clay at Level 5, Bon Clay begged Ivankov to save Luffy. Ivankov used his Devil Fruit abilities on Luffy to save him.
