Fans are wondering if Mark Ruffalo will reprise his Hulk role in 2025’s Captain America: Brave New World. Here is all you need to know.
Will Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk Be in Captain America: Brave New World?
No, Mark Ruffalo will not reprise his role of Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World.
In a recent Q&A event at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday (via YouTube), when asked by moderator Anne Thompson about whether he would reprise his role as Hulk in 2025’s Captain America: Brave New World, which will revolve around Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Ruffalo nodded his head and replied “Yeah”. Also, in this Q&A, he revealed that Kevin Feige told him Hulk would not be getting a solo movie.
However, this was immediately debunked via a new Variety report which stated that Ruffalo misspoke in his answer, thinking he was agreeing that Captain America: Brave New World was going to be one of Marvel’s next films and that he would not be in it.
This misunderstanding is just another case of Ruffalo’s mishaps when it comes to Marvel PR. Mark Ruffalo is notorious for unintentionally spilling super secret details about MCU projects either verbally or by accidentally sharing things online. Several instances are how he nearly spoiled Avengers: Infinity War’s ending by claiming everyone died in a 2017 interview with Good Morning America, accidentally live-streaming the first few minutes of Thor: Ragnarok, and spoiling Captain America’s marriage to Peggy Carter in an Entertainment Insider interview.
However, it is quite surprising that Ruffalo is not confirmed to return as Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World as that film will bring back Hulk’s primary supporting characters which include Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross, Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson’s Samuel Sterns/Leader.
