Madame Web Post Credits: Does It Have an End-Credits Scene?

Post-credits scenes have nowadays become common in superhero films and pretty much in other recent blockbuster franchises as well. This is the reason why fans are wondering if Madame Web also has any end-credits scenes. Here is all you need to know.

Is there a post-credits or end-credits scene in Madame Web?

No, there is no post-credits or end-credits scene in Madame Web.

The lack of a post-credits scene or an end-credits scene in Madame Web breaks the pattern that was followed by previous Sony-Marvel films like Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and Morbius, all of which had at least one after-credits scene.

Not only that, this makes Madame Web one of the very few Marvel/Sony films to not have an after-credits scene. The other film falling into this category could be 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Madame Web producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura addressed the lack of a post-credits scene in an interview with Comicbook.com, where he stated:

“It wasn’t a conscious decision to say ‘We’re not going going to do that since everybody else does it,’ but we really liked having the ambiguity of it and having the promise of it that stood hand to hand where that other piece would then solidify it in a certain direction.”

In the same interview, Bonaventura also stated that the team behind the film wanted to ensure that Madame Web was simply a standalone, character-driven story that was all about the lead character and not a film that served as a connection to other Spider-Man properties.

Additionally, Bonaventura expressed that the reason fans complain about superhero fatigue could be because most recent superhero flicks “are often not about the central character”.

Madame Web stars Dakota Johnson in the lead role alongside a supporting cast that includes Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Zosia Mamet, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott.

In entertainment elsewhere, Emily Blunt has talked about a potential Edge of Tomorrow 2. Also, find out if Twisters is a remake, sequel or prequel of 1996’s Twister.
