Will Sonic the Hedgehog return in the Knuckles series?
Yes, Sonic the Hedgehog will have a cameo in the Knuckles spinoff series on Paramount Plus.
When the show was previously announced, the involvement of Sonic wasn’t entirely confirmed. But the above trailer for the Knuckles series has already revealed new footage featuring the speedy blue Hedgehog. So, we can be sure that Ben Schwartz will reprise his role to voice Sonic the Hedgehog for a cameo alongside Idris Elba’s Knuckles. But he won’t be alone!
Is Tails returning in the Knuckles spinoff series?
Yes, Tails is also confirmed to be back in the Knuckles TV show, but in a limited capacity.
The trailer for Knuckles confirmed the presence of Colleen O’Shaughnessey’s Tails. Apart from Tails and Sonic, Tika Sumpter’s Maddie Wachowski will be appearing in the series too. But whether her husband Tom, played by James Marsden makes a cameo remains to be seen.
As for the newer characters in the show, Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann comes in to play the big bad of the show. His character is shrouded in mystery but the trailer revealed that he was a scientist who used to work with Dr. Robotnik. Besides him, the cast includes Julian Barratt, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, and Ellie Taylor in recurring roles.
The show takes place between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3. We will likely get a setup for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 towards the end of the series. So, don’t count out a small cameo from Shadow either!
