As of early February 2024, Tokyo Vice hasn’t been greenlit for season 3. This is expected as the second season just premiered. HBO Max will likely assess how it performs with the audience before making any decision. Tokyo Vice is part of a trilogy of books by Adelstein and has two sequels — The Last Yakuza: Life and Death In The Japanese Underworld and Tokyo Noir: In and Out of The Japanese Underworld (slated for a 2024 publication).
