But the explicit and truly concerning ones exist on adult websites, which continue to cause outrage among fans. Along with the AI images, the fake videos have made authorities consider amending laws that would allow the legal system to prevent the victims of manipulated deepfake content.
How are the Taylor Swift deepfakes made?
The Taylor Swift deepfakes have been made using various tools featuring generative AI that creates semi-realistic-looking videos and images.
Deepfake technology has existed for quite a few years. However, the recent advancement in AI has allowed it to become more sophisticated and look more realistic. It has become easier for more people to learn and often abuse the technology.
In technical terms, the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) framework, which features encoder and decoder networks is used to produce Deepfake videos. An encoder network analyses the original content and transfers it to a decoder network, which creates real-looking fake content.
