Fans eagerly waiting for MCU’s Blade are wondering who its villain is going to be. Is it Marvel’s Lilith? What is her origin history and what kind of powers does she possess? Here’s all you need to know.
Who is Marvel’s Lilith and is she MCU’s Blade movie villain?
Marvel’s Lilith is rumored to be the villain of Blade, and she could be played by Mia Goth.
Back in May 2023, infamous scooper Daniel Richtman revealed through his Patreon that Mia Goth is playing Lilith. The rumor needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
But in another one of his recent scoops, Richtman elaborated that the movie is a period piece and Lilith’s motivation is to create an army of Daywalkers using the blood of Blade’s daughter. Furthermore, she also wields the Ebony Blade.
For those uninitiated, Marvel Comics features two versions of Lilith. One of those is the Mother of all Demons, inspired by real-world mythology. In it, Lilith was the first woman on Earth and the first partner of Adam before Eve. But her journey saw her becoming the Goddess of Hell.
The second version of Lilith is the daughter of Dracula and his first wife, Zofia. She grew up with intense hatred for her father but doesn’t possess the ability to directly kill him.
While Richtman remains unsure about which version of Lilith Mia Goth will bring to life, her motivations suggest that she’d be the daughter of Dracula. With Blade being a vampire hunter, Lilith’s connection to Dracula would make more sense than Blade fighting the Goddess version of her.
What are Lilith’s powers & abilities?
Being the oldest child of Dracula, Lilith is also a Vampire. But she is much stronger than regular Vampires and is also immune to Sunlight.
Among her abilities, she can partially or fully turn into a mist or even a bat-like creature. Furthermore, she has control over the weather and animals including rats, wolves, bats, and dogs. Besides her superhuman strength, she also possesses a rapid healing factor.
Even though Lilith can be killed if a wooden stake is driven through her heart, her spirit can return as long as her father lives. She is also aware of a mystical ritual to return her spirit to her actual body. So if these abilities are kept constant within the MCU, Blade might find it tough to take her down.
