This fantasy anime is an adaptation of the namesake Japanese light novel series written by Ryūta Kijima and illustrated by Sando. The plot follows Rud, who serves as the shielder or tank in the hero’s party. As he is extremely good at his job, Rud has acquired a defense stat of 9999. His main reason for raiding the dungeon is the search for a cure for his ailing sister. After the hero, Kyglas, forces him to leave the group, Rud meets a girl who tells him the truth about his powers, prompting him to create his own adventuring party.
