Previous TriStar films were made available on Netflix within a few months of their world premieres. Set in Jerusalem, in 33 A.D., The Book of Clarence revolves around the eponymous Clarence, a man struggling with mounting debts. After learning about Jesus Christ, Clarence comes up with the plan of pretending to be the Messiah so he can accumulate fame and fortune.
