It Follows 2’s release date could arrive by late 2024 at the earliest.
The speculations about a prospective sequel have been around since the first film turned out to be a success. It was reported in October 2023 that It Follows 2, or They Follow, was in active development. Moreover, it was announced that the acclaimed production and distribution company Neon would co-produce the sequel and wuld serve as its domestic distributor. Maika Monroe will reprise her role as Jaime “Jay” Heigh, and production is set to begin in 2024.
If principal photography starts in early next year, there is a considerable chance for They Follow to come out in late 2024 at the earliest, as production for It Follows began in late 2013 and the film debuted at the 67th Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2014.
