Created by Justin Simien, Netflix’s comedy-drama series Dear White People is an adaptation and a continuation of Simien’s namesake 2014 film. Tessa Thompson, who plays the character of Samantha “Sam” White in the film, is replaced by Logan Browning in the show. The plot is predominantly set at the fictional Winchester University, where the student body is mostly white. The plot follows some of the black students attending Winchester, with a special focus on Sam.
The series premiered on April 28, 2017, and garnered mostly positive reviews. Season 4 debuted on September 22, 2021. If you are wondering whether there will be a fifth season, this is what we have discovered.
