However, in multiple interviews, Simon Cellan Jones has expressed his desire to develop a sequel. “No, not yet,” he told Forbes. “You never know. It’s something that might be worth doing. We haven’t had a specific conversation. But I’m sure the writer’s got more stuff in him and this family is so good together, that it would be great to work with them again.”
Jones told The Direct that the sequel could potentially be set somewhere in Europe or South America. “They’d [the characters] all be older and wiser,” Jones said. “But, you know, it would definitely be a road movie. I don’t know whether it’d be Europe or South America, somewhere crazy like that. Yeah, but I think it would look it would be a different story, but it would be the same family, and it would be because family never cures its problems. It just sort of puts them on hold for a while. I think they’d still be tons and tons of great material.”
