Written by Kim Eun-sook and directed by Ahn Gil-ho, The Glory is a South Korean drama series streaming on Netflix. The plot revolves around Moon Dong-eun, who was tormented and abused by her classmates when she was young. Years later, she returns to their lives for revenge. Season 1 of The Glory was split into two parts that started streaming on December 30, 2022, and March 10, 2023, respectively. If you are wondering when Season 2 is coming out, we got you covered.
Here’s all we know about The Glory Season 2 release date and whether or not it’s coming out.
Is there a The Glory Season 2 release date?
There is no The Glory Season 2 release date as the series most likely ended with Season 1. ComingSoon will provide an update if the circumstances change.
The inaugural season of The Glory ends with Dong-eun successfully exacting revenge on her past tormentors and eventually reuniting with Yeo-jeong to help him get revenge against his father’s murderer. They subsequently come up with an extensive plot due to which the murderer ends up in the prison where Dong-eun and Yeo-jeong are now employed.
While a prospective second season can definitely cover Yeo-jeong’s pursuit of revenge, that will be ultimately redundant. The Glory is about Dong-eun and her journey. It will be an absolute disservice to her and the storyline of the first season to turn her into a supporting character in Season 2. The indication that she is there for Yeo-jeong as he pursues revenge is enough.
Moreover, South Korean shows don’t often have more than one season, and The Glory is unlikely to be one of the exceptions.
The cast includes Song Hye-kyo as Moon Dong-eun, Lee Do-hyun as Joo Yeo-jeong, Lim Ji-yeon as Park Yeon-jin, Yeom Hye-ran as Kang Hyeon-nam, Park Sung-hoon as Jeon Jae-joon, Jung Sung-il as Ha Do-yeong, and more.
The official synopsis for The Glory reads:
“After a childhood marked by pain and violence, a woman puts a carefully planned revenge scheme in motion.”
