Here’s all we know about Black Cake Season 2 and whether or not it’s coming out.
Is there a Black Cake Season 2 release date?
There is no Black Cake Season 2 release date, as the show was developed as a miniseries.
The series is an adaptation of the namesake 2022 book by Charmaine Wilkerson, and the eight-part first season covers the entirety of it. Moreover, the book doesn’t have any sequel. So, unless Wilkerson decides to add to Eleanor and her family’s story in the future, season two is unlikely to happen.
The cast includes Chipo Chung as Eleanor Bennett, Mia Isaac as Coventina “Covey” Lyncook, Adrienne Warren as Benny Bennett, Ashley Thomas as Byron Bennett, Lashay Anderson as Bunny Pringle, Faith Alabi as Pearl Thomas, Glynn Turman as Charles Mitch, and more.
The official synopsis for Black Cake reads:
“Eleanor Bennett loses her battle with cancer, leaving her children a flash drive that holds untold stories of her journey from the Caribbean to America; the stories shock her children and challenge everything they know about their family’s origin.”
